Gift Bag

What's your presentation when you give a gift?  do you wrap it in paper? or use a gift bag?  The reason I like gift bags is because they're re-usable. Today I'm sharing this gorgeous gift bag I got from my friend Deb Geier.

Gift Bag made with Stampin'UP!'s Affectionately Yours Designer Paper, a Doily, and Triple Banner Punch

You can get plain colored bags in just about any store that sells gift wrapping.  Deb stamped on the bottom edge and then decorated the top with a cute Designer Paper banner backed by a doily and held on with a clip.

Check out this close up of the Designer Paper.  See the shine? This paper is called Affectionately Yours and it has little bits of copper foil built right into the design. Its so pretty and really dresses up the bag.

Gift bags are easy to make Do you stamp with kids? This would be a great craft for them to decorate a gift bag for their Christmas presents or a friend's Birthday gift. I hope I've inspired you do be creative with your gift wrap. And if you'd like to make this one, here's a complete list of the product Deb used on her bag.  I'm happy to help you get this or any other Stampin'UP! product.

Glassine Gift Bags with Copper Embossing

How do you wrap presents? Traditional box and wrapping paper?
How about a sweet little hand-decorated gift bag?

I recently made a dozen of these and they went together very quickly. I'm the coordinator of an event and I wanted to give a gift to all the helpers. Stampin'UP! actually sells these little gift bags so it was really easy to put together.
  • Each bag contains a small item as the gift
  • I decorated a piece of cardstock
  • Folded the bag closed and attached the decoration with a little gold clip. Voila! super easy.

The flowers are my new favorite die: the Botanical Builders dies - I really like all the dimension and texture you get with these dies. And speaking of texture: the base of the card is both texture embossed and heat embossed. I used the same copper embossing powder as on this feather card. I'm LOVING how creamy/metallic it looks.

Super Savings on this Week's Weekly Deals

Sale-a-bration Countdown - Only 2 Days Left!

This past week I've been featuring projects made with Sale-a-bration items. But today I'm switching it up a bit and pointing out the items on sale this week.  Sale items are often items like ribbons and embossing folders and perhaps a punch or die.  But have you see this weeks; offering? WOW!

What a great way to end sale-a-bration.

Are any of these items on your wish list?

There's only 2 days left to put together a $50 order and earn a free sale-a-bration item.

Those first two items are great for gift packaging.  What kind of events do you have coming up?  Baby or wedding shower? Birthdays or retirement. And its not too early to start thinking about graduation gifts.

Here's a really cute box made with the Gift Box Punch Board.  This fun box decorated with balloons and a belly band was made by Sue Adams. You can read more about it on this post.

And wouldn't this darling window box be perfect as a favor for a baby shower? This box was made by Tina Petko and you can read more about it on this post.

Click the images below to see all your sale-a-bration choices.  (note the Hello set, the Airplane set and the Perfectly Artistic Paper are no longer available)

Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bag

This is a really pretty gift package for giving small items.

A decorated Stampin'UP! Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bag

These are Stampin'UP!'s Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags. The bags are a translucent "glassine" material with a very subtle and pretty white sketched dot pattern.  Its very classy looking, especially with the sparkly glimmer paper butterfly and the shiny sequin trim.

Decorated Stampin'UP! Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags

And SO SIMPLE to put together.
  • I folded the top down,
wrapped black satin ribbon around the top and secured it with a glue dot.
  • punched the butterfly and decorated it with a pearl
  • attached it to a punched scallop circle
  • adhered the sequin ribbon to the back
  • and stuck it on the front of the bag
Voila!   Click HERE to watch a 5 minute VIDEO showing how I put them together.
All product used is shown in the chart at the end of the post.

Decorated Stampin'UP! Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags

The Tag a Bag Gift Bags fit a variety of small items.  Use them for gifts or favors for a shower. What small items can you think of to fit in these bags? Spring isn't far off and a seed packet is always a nice gift.  Cookies? A recipe card and spice pack? Small health and beauty items? Baby Booties? Jewelry?  How would you use them? Leave a comment with what you'd put in these cute bags.

These particular bags are gifts for new members of the INKcredible Crafty Crew.  I filled mine with a sheet of Dimensionals to use as welcome gifts for the people who join our craft group during the months of February and March. Joining is simple, anyone who buys the Starter Kit is automatically a member.

Bonus: The Starter Kit is on sale through the end of March!

What is the Starter Kit?  Anything you want - whats on your wish list?  Pick out up to $155 of product and pay only $99 + tax. Plus shipping is free with this sale purchase. This is the same kit you'd buy if you wanted to be a demonstrator, but you can also buy it just because its a smart purchase. Also, for the next 3 months you'll have a 20% discount if you choose to buy anything else . . . and you can renew that discount option if you want, its your decision.
