Trio of Cards with Occasions 2019 Product

I have 3 cards to share today and I didn't make any of them.

One of the nice things about joining Stampin'UP! is the opportunity to network with and get to know other people who love the craft as much as I do.  I received each of these cards as Trades at our last local gathering.

Terry's card features a new butterfly set with a matching punch:  Butterfly Gala

Deb's card features the adorable Peter Rabbit stamp from the new Fable Friends Stamp set.

Rachel's card showcases the Sweetest Things stamps and matching DSP and Die set.

Stampin'UP! is a great company with some amazing product. If you haven't browsed the Stampin'UP! store I encourage you to spend a little time there.

And get your paper and pencil ready.  I guarantee you're going to have a long shopping list by the time you're done looking through all the product.

Gold Foil Butterflies for a Golden Anniversary

I made this card as an anniversary card, but when it was all done I realized it would work just as well for a wedding card. That "happy together" sentiment fits both occasions, don't you think?

Golden Anniversary Card made with Gold Foil paper and Stampin'UP!'s Timeless Textures Stamp Set

Actually the card was intended as a Golden Anniversary card, so of course I tried to put as much gold on it as possible! The Tip Top Taupe paper was the perfect base color, its a good match for the gold heat embossing without introducing another color into the palette. The fancy swirly leafy filigree shape is from a set called Timeless Textures and it ended up being a good background filler that blended in an elegant way with the butterflies.

Speaking of butterflies, don't these look like they just flew down and landed on this card? I love Stampin'UP!'s Gold Foil paper, its so stiff and makes perfect punched pieces like these butterflies.  The trick to getting this "just landed" look is to gently crease the wings upwards and put my adhesive just down the middle of the body.

I like to add some sparkle whenever I can and I've found that 3 of the small rhinestones are a perfect fit for the length of the butterfly body. Here's a complete list of supplies used on this card.

Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bag

This is a really pretty gift package for giving small items.

A decorated Stampin'UP! Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bag

These are Stampin'UP!'s Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags. The bags are a translucent "glassine" material with a very subtle and pretty white sketched dot pattern.  Its very classy looking, especially with the sparkly glimmer paper butterfly and the shiny sequin trim.

And SO SIMPLE to put together.
  • I folded the top down,
wrapped black satin ribbon around the top and secured it with a glue dot.
  • punched the butterfly and decorated it with a pearl
  • attached it to a punched scallop circle
  • adhered the sequin ribbon to the back
  • and stuck it on the front of the bag
Voila!   Click HERE to watch a 5 minute VIDEO showing how I put them together.
All product used is shown in the chart at the end of the post.

Decorated Stampin'UP! Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags

The Tag a Bag Gift Bags fit a variety of small items.  Use them for gifts or favors for a shower. What small items can you think of to fit in these bags? Spring isn't far off and a seed packet is always a nice gift.  Cookies? A recipe card and spice pack? Small health and beauty items? Baby Booties? Jewelry?  How would you use them? Leave a comment with what you'd put in these cute bags.

These particular bags are gifts for new members of the INKcredible Crafty Crew.  I filled mine with a sheet of Dimensionals to use as welcome gifts for the people who join our craft group during the months of February and March. Joining is simple, anyone who buys the Starter Kit is automatically a member.

Bonus: The Starter Kit is on sale through the end of March!

What is the Starter Kit?  Anything you want - whats on your wish list?  Pick out up to $155 of product and pay only $99 + tax. Plus shipping is free with this sale purchase. Got a few big ticket items you've been saving up for?  Now's the time folks. You'll be getting a 30% discount over retail with this purchase.

This is the same kit you'd buy if you wanted to be a demonstrator, but you can also buy it just because its a smart purchase. Also, for the next 3 months you'll have a 20% discount if you choose to buy anything else . . . and you can renew that discount option if you want, its your decision. This is a total win-win choice here.  Once again, this is the same purchase as the demonstrator Starter Kit, BUT you are not obligated to sell anything.
