If you're looking for Christmas Card ideas that are simple and easy to mass produce, then consider this card. The Holly spray is a classic Christmas image and its so beautiful here as the main focal point.
To create the image I stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink and heat embossed with Clear embossing powder. Are you surprised that I could heat emboss in this color? A few years ago, when Stampin'UP! changed over to the new foam pad ink pads, we suddenly got the option to HEAT EMBOSS IN ANY COLOR! These pads are super juicy, definitely wet enough to hold the embossing powder while you heat set it. So stock up on Clear Embossing powder and emboss away.
Embossing the image does several things:
- it makes it easier to stay in the lines when coloring (but don't look too closely at mine because I messed up in a few places)
- when you emboss the image then the lines won't bleed when you color over them
- and embossing also adds shine to your project
Do you send hand-made Christmas Cards? Check out this earlier post with 3-Rules for Mass Production. You'll get to see a hand-made card drawn by my grandfather. But just an FYI: the digital product mentioned in this post is no longer available.
Here are the products I used on the Holly Spray card.
Thanks for Stopping by: Take a minute and browse previous posts. If you see anything you like I'm happy to
help you get the product or just to consult and explain further how the
project was made . . . its all about having fun with our
hobby.
