We have a few "fishy" things going on in our house today. My husband is going off ice fishing and I'm posting this fish card. If you're not from a northern climate you may wonder why people would fish for ice. The answer is they don't. They drill a hole in the ice and fish through the ice. Yes, you're right - brrr! cold! To each their own I say. I don't mess with his fishing stuff and he stays out of my stamp room, so its all good.
This was another card I did with the kids at the Art Festival last weekend. The kids had fun stamping this underwater scene. We colored the fish and seahorses with markers and sponged on the brown (Crumb Cake) sand and the blue (Lost Lagoon) water.
The images are from a set called By the Tide. That's one of the
great things about buying stamps in sets. The images all match in size
and style and you can use them to create scenes like this one.
Look carefully at the eyes - those are Stampin'UP!'s self-stick Pearls colored with a tiny dot of black Sharpie. Doesn't it look just like a real fish eye?
The "Best Wishes" sentiment is from a set called Petite Pairs. But some of the kids decided to change it just a little for this card. Cute, eh?
