GreenHouse Garden 2-step stamping

Are you a gardener? The garden catalogs have started to arrive at my house and I'm caught up in dreams of what my yard could look like this summer. All you gardeners out there know exactly what I mean. We see the gorgeous pictures of flowers and we know right where they should be growing in our yards.

I'm sharing a photo of one of my favorite flowers: a mallow. These are great self-seeders and so pretty. I love the darker veins on the bright pink petals.  Thats the look I was going for with this card.

We did this card at the March Stamp-a-Stack. The stamp set is called Greenhouse Garden and its a 2-step Stamp Set. By "2-step" I mean that there is one stamp to create the light pink for the body of the flower and a 2nd stamp that makes the veins. You stamp the 2nd one over the first one. Don't you think its perfect for trying to re-create the mallow?

Card made with Stampin'UP! stamp set: GreenHouse Garden. Made by StampLadyKatie
The colors used on this card are Rose Red and Regal Rose. I chose those colors for a very practical reason - I had seam binding to match.

Yes, Stampin'UP! sells seam binding too. Thats the great thing about getting all your supplies from one company, all the colors match: paper, ink, ribbon, buttons . . .everything.

The black edging was created with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and the flowers are accented with the Jumbo Self-Stick Pearls.

You can get all the supplies to make this card from my Stampin'UP! Store.  Just click HERE. Shop 24/7 and your order will be at your house in less than a week.

Happy Stamping
