Turtle and Company

Today's card uses another one of Stampin'UP!'s philanthropy sets. This card uses stamps from a set called Turtle and Company. Proceeds from the sale of this set go to support the Ronald McDonald House. The RMDH is Stampin'UP!'s on-going charity. I'm so proud to be part of a company that feels so strongly about contributing in a meaningful way.

This would be a great stamp set to use with children because the images are all open drawings and the kids can color them.

The image on the card was created from 2 stamps: the turtle is one stamp and the pile of gifts is another. I love, love, love the new acrylic blocks for the stamps because when you can see through the block it makes it so easy to line up images like on this card.

And what do you think of the texture on the background? Similar to yesterday's card, but this one uses the new Houndstooth embossing folder (#123134). Embossing folders are such an easy way to add texture and dimension and visual interest to a project. And they're inexpensive too, only $7.95 each. I have all 15 (plus the new one thats in the Holiday Mini). Demonstrators are privileged to get to pre-order items from catalogs that have not gone live yet. There is some really great product coming up, including a new Embossing Folder.
