Glimmer Paper Diecut Brilliant Wings Butterfly Inlay

Today's project showcases a die cut technique called INLAY
The concept is simple: cut a shape and lay it back into its hole.

Gorgeous paper, right?  Its glimmer paper! A.W.E.S.O.M.E.
I used Stampin'Up!'s new 2022-2024 In-Color Glimmer Paper
and did you notice the subtle ombre effect in the color ... so pretty
full product list below

Lets talk adhesives for a minute . . . for 2 reasons.

#1:  notice the fluttery effect on the butterfly wings?
the butterfly has adhesive under only the body so the wings are free to lift up

#2: the surface of any glimmer paper presents a challenge
using something flexible like a Glue Dot or foam Dimensionals
helps keep parts like the sentiment piece attached to the surface of glimmer paper

The nice thing about videos is you can fast forward thru the parts you don't need to see.
BTW I post how-to videos each Monday on my FB page,

This card has such a happy, summery, carefree feel. I love the bright colors.
Do you have a butterfly punch or die?  Are you feeling inspired?

Grafeful Bunch with Gold Wink of Stella

Do you sometimes feel like you need a closet full of supplies to make just 1 card? Today's post features a card with just 1 stamp set and just 1 color in addition to white. The stamp set is Grateful Bunch and if you like minimal supplies then you might be "grateful" for this idea.

Awesome funky font, right?

One of the things I really like about Grateful Bunch is that this set has sentiments that can be used on both the inside as well as the front of the card. There are many reasons a person could be "awesome" and that sentiment could be a stand-alone, and happily, it also pairs "awesomely" with both the other sentiments in this set.

You could use any color cardstock with this design - I used Bermuda Bay and accented it with some white ribbon. The thing that really dresses up this card is the little bit of sparkle you get with the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen. Wink of Stella is one of my favorite ways to add subtle sparkle.  BTW - check out this card where I dip my clear Wink of Stella in re-inker!

Here's a close-up of the Wink of Stella Gold on my Grateful Bunch Card. The sparkle was just perfect for the flower centers and the butterfly.
