3D Trades from our June Madison Demo Meeting

One of the things I love best about being part of Stampin'UP! is the friendships I've made with other local demonstrators. I am truly blessed to know these super talented and wonderful people. I'm actually part of  several demonstrator groups. I meet monthly with my own downline - we call ourselves the INKcredible Crafty Crew and I hope if you ask them they'd say the gatherings are INKcredible!  Or at least that they learn something and have fun.

I'm also part of a larger group of local stampers called the Madison Area Stamping Stars. We are a group of about 40 people around the Madison/Dane county area who gather 3x a year . . . each time there's a new Stampin'UP! catalog. Now, our main reason for meeting is to learn about the new product and get samples and ideas for using it with our customers. But of course there's lots of gabbing and socializing because over the years we've made some pretty good friendships.

Our events keep getting bigger too because people keep joining Stampin'UP! Plus we can invite guests. Would you like to come to one of our events? Let me know if you are interested in attending our next gathering (which is Sat. Sept 17).  You can check our Event blog to see more of what we do.

We can also sign up for optional trades at these events. One category is 3D projects and for today's post I thought I'd you the 3D trades from our June event.

Imagine yourself going home with these cute projects.  You are welcome to join us at our next event.

  • If you are NOT a demo that's OK, we welcome guests
  • If you ARE a demo - great. We are from various different downlines who have gathered to share our love of papercrafting and of Stampin'UP!. You'd walk away with some great projects and some new local friends.

Thanks for Stopping by: Take a minute and browse previous posts. If you see anything you like I'm happy to help you get the product or just to consult and explain further how the project was made . . . its all about having fun with our hobby.

Easy Triangle Candy Treat Holder Great Gift or Shower Favor

Check out these easy directions for a cute little candy treat holder.
Here's what you'll be making, just big enough for a Kiss or Rolo or Nuggat.

Start with a sheet of paper 5.5" by 4"
Score as shown in the photo below

Fold along all the score lines and cut off the outside section of the 1/4" wide strip
as shown in the 2nd image below.
Find the mid-point of each section (it should be at 7/8" from the edge and from each score line)
Cut away a triangle from the mid-point diagonally to the score line and discard the parts colored in pencil in this image.

See how easily it folds together to make a cute little box!

Now you just have to find something (small) to decorate your box.

These tiny little triangle boxes would be quick and easy to make for your co-workers. They make a fabulous table favor for a wedding or shower. And with Valentines Day just a few weeks away they'd also make a really cute little Valentine treat for everyone on your list.

Are you local to the Madison/Dane County area?
