Sentiment Included in the Balloon Strings

We have so many reasons to send a little love to someone. Can you see the love on this card?  This card features a fun little technique of using the balloon string as the word for the sentiment.

I originally made this as a valentine, but then decided to use it as an anniversary card for my brother and sister-in-law instead. The balloons seemed more suited for celebrating a life event instead of Valentine's Day. How would you use it? . . . Anniversary? Wedding?  Bridal Shower?  

Its super easy to make, just punch 3 hearts (pretty glimmery paper helps of course). Add the strings and a little bow and voila!

so . . . what about the balloon string sentiment?

You can draw your own lines for the balloons, and add your own handwritten word as part of the balloon string.

My balloon strings and sentiment are stamped, and I got this pretty sentiment from Stampin'UP!'s Hello Life stamp set.  All the supplies I used for this card are listed below.

Bloomin Love 2 Ways

Are you a fan of the laser cut look? If so you're going to fall in love with this beautiful heart from Stampin'UP!'s Bloomin Love Bundle.

I love this color combo:  Basic Black and Very Vanilla with a touch of sparkly red. This card was made as a Valentine, but it would work beautifully as a wedding or anniversary card. 

To make the card I used my Big Shot to diecut the heart from black paper and layered it on a piece of Very Vanilla that had been embossed with the Elegant Dots embossing Folder. The black framing layer is 4" square and the embossed vanilla piece is 3-7/8" square.

The beautiful intricate heart die is part of Stampin'UP!'s 2016 Bloomin Love Bundle.  Actually you can get the stamp set or the die set individually, but you save 15% if you buy them together as a bundle. See the chart below.

The heart die is a Thinlit, not a Framelit!  Framelits are designed to cut out a stamped image. Thinlits are just thin dies.  The heart stamp in the stamp set is smaller than the heart die.  And it too makes a beautiful project.

Kind of hard to tell in this photo but the heart, the flowers and framing piece are a scrumptious deep purple called blackberry bliss.
