Sale-a-bration is a Celebration 

and what better way to celebrate than with a Balloon Bouquet?

Balloons are always fun and a bunch of them is even better.  

This card, made by Rachel Durtschi, features balloons from a set called Party Pants.

Party Pants is a fun set with lots of useful sayings for birthdays and other celebrations.

I'm loving the layered look on this card it really has a 3D look of a bunch of balloons. Rachel used Stampin'' Dimensionals to raise the Silver Foil Balloons.

Every stamper should have a pack of dimensionals in their adhesive drawer.  You get 300 in a package and believe me, once you discover the magic these babies make on your project you'll never be without a package or 2 on hand.

I also like the way Rachel stamped the balloons. See how she stamped one on top the other.  This little technique also adds to the dimensional look of the project. 

Balloons are such a fun way to celebrate and Stampin'UP! has several sets with balloons available in the current catalogs.   The matching punch or dies can be purchased separately, or you can save 15% when you buy the matched pair together.  From left to right below:

• Balloon Builder (you can make some really cute animal shapes with these. 
• Balloon Celebration - the matching punch has 2 different size balloons. Rachel used the smaller punch on her project and the larger shape matches the balloon in the Party Pants set
• Party Wishes - the matching punch is part of a pack of 3 really cute tiny punches.  I love the little candle! This one comes in either clear mount or wood mount.
• Celebrate Today - is a big round balloon that makes some awesome hot air balloons. The matching product is a set of dies.

3 year old BD Card: Giraffe with an Expanding Neck

I made this card for my granddaughter's 3rd Birthday.  When you want to impress a 3 year old it helps that the card is interactive.

This card is actually easier to make that it looks. You cut the paper long-ways [4.25 x 11] and fold at the half-way mark [at 5.5"] and then fold the front back up half-way [at 2.75"].  Then cut white pieces to fit each of the 3 panels and make your giraffe. 

The Giraffe is mostly made of circles and ovals. Super easy to assemble. I used the Word Window punch for his legs and the ears are the wings of the bird from the Bird Builder Punch. 

  

Do you like the Balloons?  Again, for a 3-year old you need the details. The balloons are circles and for the tab of the balloons I used the feet of the Owl on the Owl Builder Punch. Its kind of fun putting different pieces together like this. And whats more important is that my granddaughter liked it. This was a fun card for her and she spent a lot of time folding and unfolding the giraffe.
