Meant to Be a Valentine or Wedding or Anniversary

I appreciate a stamp set that serves multiple occasions, like Stampin'Up!'s "Meant to Be" stamp set.  The sentiments and imagery in this set allow it to work equally well for Valentine's Day or for a wedding or anniversary event. I'm also delighted when I make a card and realize the card itself is versatile enough to serve more than one occasions.

So . . . how would you use this card?  Valentine or wedding?

Made with Stampin'Up!'s Meant to Be stamp set and Be Mine Stitched Dies this card can be for Valentine's Day or a wedding or anniversary

Sometimes a simple design can say alot. The softly sponged background ties together the imagery of the hearts with the sentiment. And the rhinestones and little bit of silver foil trim add a touch of elegance.

If you have the supplies this is a very easy card to make: paper, something to create the hearts, something to add a little sparkle and bling and something to add color to the background - full product list below

Valentine Love or Any Time Love

February is national heart month. Designated as such I'm sure because Valentine's Day is in February. So in keeping with the theme this post is all about heart cards made with heart punches.

The featured product is this set of heart punches which are designed for the shapes to nest with the scalloped heart slightly larger than the smooth edge heart.

There are lots of ways to use hearts on a card, check out these samples.

Valentine's Day comes only once a year, but there are love occasions all the time. Not just weddings and anniversaries but sometimes you just want to tell someone how much they mean to you.  A heart is the perfect image.

A heart shape is an easy shape to cut by hand, but a punch makes it go so  much quicker. And having a pair of punches that are designed to nest makes your work look even more professional.

If you don't already have a heart punch I'd really encourage you to get this Heart Punch Bundle from Stampin'UP!. Its conveniently priced at only $34 - but the real value is the convenience and ease of quickly making a set of professional looking heart shapes to add to a project.

Meant to Be Silver Heart Wedding Card

Whether its a wedding or an anniversary, you can't go wrong with silver foil paper. I actually made this for a wedding, but of course with the sentiment "love" it works for either.  And it doesn't even have to be a silver anniversary.

Card for wedding or anniversary made with Stampin'UP!'s Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Be Mine Dies and Meant to Be Stamp Set

There's lots to "love" about this card. The sentiment die is found in the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets Set. The hearts and the scallop trim piece are part of the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Die Set. I really like the variety of dies in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.

Stampin'UP!'s Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies

You get several different size and different shape hearts. And I especially like the matching scallops on the trim piece and the heart die that frames this stamp.  For a little added elegance you could add a thin strip of silver foil like I did on this card.

Rhinestones are a great way to add some sparkle and I love the convienence of Stampin'UP!'s rhinestones.  They're self-adhesive and come in a sheet with 3 different sizes.  The small size rhinestone is perfect to fit in the center of the stamped flowers in this heart.
