Last Chance for the May Craft Kit

Does the name Shelli Gardner mean anything to you?  Shelli is the founder of Stampin'UP! and she designed the May Craft Kit. Her style is earthy and full of texture.

There are several different cards in the May Paper Pumpkin kit. Here is one of them ...

Card designed by Shelli Gardner, from the May Paper Pumpkin Craft Kit by Stampin'UP!

The kits are all-inclusive.  They have all the supplies you'll need: envelopes, twine or ribbon, ink, embellishments and every kit has its own little stamp set too!

The only thing extra you need to supply with these kits is your favorite adhesive.

... this card is from the May Kit which won't ship for another week.

You may be wondering how I got a sample early? When demonstrators attend convention we get to make samples of the new stuff.  The sample posted above was just one of many we made. The photo to the right shows a couple of others.

FAQ about Stampin'UP!'s monthly craft kit subscription called Paper Pumpkin cost and shipping info: The cost of the kit is charged to your credit card on the 10th of the month and they ship out a few days later.

Its a little over $20 a month, depending on state tax where you live, but shipping is already included in that price. Its really a super deal for everything you get.

Monthly Craft Kits are On Sale (through Oct 10th)

On Sale Now

Order by
October 10th
and get your
2nd month FREE!
(new subscribers only)

The kits are self-contained - everything you need to complete that month's project. Stamps, ink, supplies. The only thing you'll need to add is your favorite adhesive.

WHAT kind of projects are in the kits?  It varies, sometimes cards and sometimes something else. But always a box full of paper crafting fun.  Check out the videos of past kits to see what they're all about.  They're only 2-3 minutes long and they'll give a great overview of what the subscription service is all about.

How hard are the projects?  Each month is a fun surprise, they're designed to be completed in an evening by beginner stampers. Most kits include enough parts that you could have a few friends over to play with you, but some kits are a single project . . . so your friends will want their own kit. They make a great monthly group craft night. Who would you have fun crafting with?

The Subscription is FLEXIBLE:  you can suspend it when you know you'll be too busy that month. You can order extras if you want to play with friends. And if you decide the service is not right for you, you can quit any time. There are no minimums.

Its a nice way to build up a supply of stamps and inks.  Each month you get a small stamp set and at least 1 small ink pad.  Save them. Those stamp sets are very versatile and you can use them year after year.

February 2016 paper Pumpkin Projects

I just finished my Paper Pumpkin projects from February.

Stampin'UP!'s Paper Pumpkin Craft kit for February 2016 "Hello Sunshine"

Yes, I know, you're not looking at pumpkins!

"My Paper Pumpkin" is the name of Stampin'UP!'s monthly craft kit. This month it was 9 cards with cute envelopes. The kits aren't always cards, but they were this month.  AND you get a cute little stamp set each month. Just look at the gorgeous font on this month's set.

Pretty versatile, right!  Those sentiments cover a lot of different occasions.

Sometimes I follow the directions and sometimes I don't.  You always photos of the intended projects, but happily, the kits contain more than enough supplies to let you be creative. Here's close-ups of my 3 projects.

This is basically the intended card
I did add a few rhinestones to the flowers and the sentiment on the first one.

The intended card is on the left and I added a few rhinestones to the one on the right.

And after you make all the projects in the kit you still have tons of leftovers.
Now its time for me to get creative
and see what I can do to use up the rest of this stuff.

The picture below shows everything I have left over after finishing the projects.

October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Craft Kit

Are you a subscriber to Stampin'UP!'s monthly Craft Kit?  The subscription is called "Paper Pumpkin", although the projects are NOT pumpkins . . . but they do come in an orange box.

The October Kit (Blissful Bouquet) was a really versatile flower stamp set and gray ink pad.  You can see the flower stamps in this picture along with the intended projects.

Stampin'UP!'s Blissful Bouquet October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit

This kit actually had 3 different size cards ranging from a regular greeting card down to a gift card.

I made up each as intended, but since there were enough parts for 3 of each card I also changed them up a bit.  Here are my cards.

Card made with parts from Stampin'UP!'s October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Blissful Bouquet Card made with parts from Stampin'UP!'s October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Blissful Bouquet

The Gift Card is on the left, cool that it comes with a matching envelope.  But I actually don't use that many gift cards - so - I just added a yellow frame and mounted it on a regular size card. Voila! another greeting card.

Notice the leafy Designer paper.  It comes with the kit. Actually EVERYTHING you need is included in the kit.  The fun thing about this kit is that one of the stamps matches the designer paper. See . . . you stamp on the designer paper. Fun, right?  I thought it was cool.

The Designer Paper circles were part of the kit too and there's another stamp to match the flowers.  So here's the 2nd card, again slightly smaller than a regular card. I made it as intended and then mounted it on a regular size card base.

The 3rd card came with this gorgeous watercolor background.  Again, here's the intended project on the left and my altered version of it on the right.

Now I'd like to tell you the black banner came from my imagination, but (shh!) the truth is its covering a big time mistake on the background piece. But there's never any mistakes in stamping right?  Just opportunities for layers and embellishments!

By the way, the flowers on the last card were stamped on Calypso Coral paper and I cut them by hand. They make a nice additional layer (and help to totally cover the smudge).

If you want to see more of what I did with this stamp set then check back tomorrow for some additional projects.

Alternate Project with the Sept 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit

Are you looking for other ideas for the stamps in the Sept. Paper Pumpkin Kit?  what do you think of this one using the "Eat Me if you Dare" stamp? Here's the front.
A strip of little witches hats on Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.
Open it up for this surprise:
The "eyes" are individually wrapped mints stapled to an orange base.
I covered the staples with a strip of black paper that I "fringed" to look like hair.

For the eyes I punched a 3/4" black circle and used a white gel pen to give the illusion of eyes.

This is just an alternate project made with the stamps from the Sept kit.
If you watch this video you'll see the intended project. video is short, 1.42 min

Scroll down to read yesterday's post with 2 other alternate projects.

Would you like to get your own monthly craft kit in the mail?
