Friends and Flowers - version 3

Today's card is the 3rd in a row made with the Friends and Flowers Stamp Set.

Maybe I'm having too much fun with this set, but it really is just so versatile.

This is a great set to use if you stamp with kids. The endless possibilities with these images will really stimulate some creativity. And it has a matching punch! Do you get a chance to stamp with kids?  It's so much fun to watch them play with images and colors. And in my experience they love it when you bring out the punches!

3 Ways to Coordinate Product

Today I'm sharing a beautiful flower card. Notice the coordinating colors of the cardstock and the Designer Paper?  That's one reason I choose to buy all my color product from the same company. I can be assured that my inks, my colored cardstock and any accessories, like this beautiful printed paper, will all coordinate beautifully.

 This card actually shows 3 different ways Stampin'UP! coordinates product.

1. Color Coordination: See how perfectly the Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive colors in the printed design match the framing paper layers behind the strip of printed paper.

2. Coordinated Punch and Stamp Set.  Its so easy to get perfectly shaped petals when there's a punch that matches the stamp set. (Me and scissors? NOT! if you know me, you know I have very little patience with fussy cutting!)

3. Coordinated Images on Stamps and Designer Paper.  This is a subtle touch but one that really helps bring a project together when the imagery in the background paper supports the stamped images. It gives my cards a little more professional look.

BTW: the Friends and Flowers stamp set is a really versatile set. Its the same one I used on yesterday's cards.

Friends and Flowers - a Versatile Set

One thing that makes a stamp set truly worth the investment is when it can be used for a variety of occasions.  And that is certainly true for Stampin'UP's new "Friends and Flowers" stamp set.  This set is versatile enough to cover a wide variety of occasions from birthdays to babies, weddings, Easter and more. 

Just imagine all the fun playing with these shapes!

 I spent a fun weekend playing with this set and here are just a few of my projects. Of course I made some flowers too, but I started with some non-flower samples.

 

The face could work for lots of different animals, but with petal shapes in the set and Easter just a few months away it seemed obvious to try a few bunnies.

 

That sweet little baby in the peapod was next on my list. 

What a cutie!

And last but not least, a fish.  Notice the perfectly symmetrical green plants? and the perfectly cut fins?  Thats not me and my scissors - Stampin'UP! has a punch that matches this stamp set. Whoohoo! I am not one for fussy cutting!
