Today I'm participating in the Color Combo Blog Hop. Each month
we're challenged to make something from a new trio of colors. A challenge like this is a
really fun way to stretch yourself because you're totally open on what
imagery to use. You get to play in what ever way the colors speak to
you.
The bright combination of Flirty Flamingo, Granny-apple Green and Night of Navy reminded me of a set of brightly colored ornaments on a Christmas Tree. So the Christmas is Gleaming set seemed the perfect choice for this challenge.
The color on this card comes from paper, not ink.
The images are heat embossed in gold to make them really "pop".
Having punches to coordinate with the stamps
makes creating paper images quick and easy. ↓
Even the holly leaves and berries are paper layers.
no punch though, so these were fussy cut. ↓
Notice the filigree lines on the left strip? They're stamped too.
There is no way I'd have gotten them straight and parallel
without using the Stamparatus. ↓
BTW: I love my stamparatus!
The unique re-positionable hinge feature of the Stamparatus
made it easy to use the small filigree stamp
to make long, straight, parallel lines.
I hope this gave you some ideas for using this stamp set
and this combination of colors
