Background Stamping Series Post #2
To add richness and depth to a project,
To add richness and depth to a project,
try using a background stamp.
See the difference a background stamp can make.
This card features the Good Morning Magnolia flower as the focal point
over a floral background made with the Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp.
This is a "wow" card - note all the layers and the bling
Here are a few more special touches worth mentioning.
- The Leaves were stamped in dark green ink on matching paper and cut out
- The Flower Layers: I stamped it 2x in dark brown ink on vanilla cardstock
Using a scissors I cut one full flower but only the center of the 2nd flower.
For subtle extra texture and depth I curled the top flower layer and used Mini-Glue Dots to adhere only the center of the top flower layer.
Do you like this effect of layering the flowers? then check this previously posted card - The sentiment was "popped up" by adhering it to the card with Dimensionals
- The background was stamped in the light green ink on matching light green paper
- The rhinestones were colored with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends (which is an alcohol based marker, the only kind that works to color the plastic of the rhinestones)
