Easy Gift Bag for an Office Treat or Table Favor

With Christmas just around the corner, this post is all about Holiday gift packaging.
I fact, today's post is part of a Blog Hop with lots of packaging ideas from
demonstrators all over the world.  Be sure to click through to see everyone's projects..

If you're like me you may have a small stash of pretty papers tucked away somewhere.
Why not use them to make cute little candy gift bags?
This sweet little bag is super easy to make from a 6" x 4.5" piece of paper.

Small candy treat bag with handles

The bag's small size is perfect for leaving a little gift on a co-worker's desk.
Hint: it easily fits 3 nuggets.
Or use it as a table favor by each place on your holiday table.

Cutting and scoring dimensions for a small gift bagThis bag is super easy to make (click the image to see it larger, or right click to download)
  • Cut a sheet of paper to a 6" x 4-1/2" size
  • Score long ways at 1-1/4" from each long side
  • Score side-ways at 1/2",  2-3/8", 3-5/8",  and 5-1/2"
  • Cut each of the sideways score marks to meet the long score line

  • If you want a ribbon handle (like on  my sample) punch holes before folding
  • Fold and glue according to the images below

Give this project a try . . .
its a great way to use up your stash of designer paper.

And trust me, when you leave these little bags on your co-worker's desks
they'll be thinking sweet thoughts about you
while they enjoy their holiday sweets from you.
