Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly

Usually when I post a project I try to focus on just one stamp set, but this combination of images resulted in such a beautiful card that I couldn't resist sharing.

Christmas card featuring Stampin'UP!'s Christmas Gleaming stamp set, Beautiful Boughs dies and Swirly Frameds stamp set

The color combo speaks to my heart with the traditional red & green of Christmas but a bit darker with a classy "old-timey" (is that even a word?) feel:  Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, Gold embossing and a hint of red. (full list of product links below)

And sparkle and shine of course!  As if the gold heat embossed circles weren't enough . . . did you notice the berries!  It was a perfect way to show off the Shimmery Crystal Effects!

The pine boughs are from the Beautiful Boughs Dies, which does have a matching stamp set although on this card I didn't use the stamps,  just the dies.

Both the sentiment and the holly image are from the Christmas is Gleaming stamp set.  The set comes bundled with 2 ornament punches, no dies.  I don't mind fussy cutting and the holly image was really easy to cut - a labor of love for this project!

I'd considered putting the sentiment on a separate layer, but gosh!, the gold embossed circle really adds a richness to the card.  That circle comes from the Swirly Frames stamp set. That set has been very useful for lots of cards and lots of different occasions.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've been INKspired to go play
