Classic and Simple Punched Daisy Card

Sometimes you just want quick and easy but you don't want it to look too simple. That's where some punches and DSP (Designer Series Paper) can help. 

This card is very easy to construct - 2 strips of paper, 2 punched flowers and a sentiment. The high contrast of the unstamped flower with its glimmer paper center all layered on the black strip makes this card very eye-catching. 

The large pink Daisy is a punch that does have a matching stamp set. However I chose not to use the stamp for this project.  The glimmer paper center is from a small punch that is part of a trio of punches called The Bitty Bloom Punch Pack. The small punches in that set were actually designed to coordinate with a different stamp set.  The advantage of shopping with a single company is that you tend to find more product coordination.

Stampin'UP! makes it easy to create projects like this by ensuring all their products coordinate. The daisy shape is consistent and the size of the small flower fits perfectly in the center of the larger daisy.

"Lets Celebrate" is a very generic sentiment that fits lots of occasions. This stamp is also a common size, so any greeting stamp you have would fit into this space. This is a great design lay-out for any occasion where you need to make a quick card - and a reason to keep a stash of small pieces of Designer Paper.

A quick comment on availability of product.  The month of May is catalog transition season for Stampin'UP!
