Hey Chick - Ready for Some Watercoloring

This card features one of the super cute chickens from the 2017 Hey Chick Sale-a-bration Set. 

One of the class lessons was about the different inks you'd use for heat embossing. The cool thing is that Stampin'UP! Classic Inks are thick enough to hold the embossing powder so if you use Clear Embossing Powder you can heat emboss in ANY color! WooHoo! This chicken was embossed using Smokey Slate Ink.

The reason we heat embossed is because we watercolored the body. The Stampin'UP! Inks are water soluble and if we hadn't embossed we'd have risked smearing the ink.
