Festival of Trees Sympathy Card

Here's an alternate use for the Festival of Trees stamp set
I've used it to make a Sympathy Card.

When I started to assemble the card I wasn't sure what sentiment I'd use,
but the coolness of the snow, the bare trees, and the blue and black color scheme
suggested a quiet stillness that worked well with the emotions for sympathy.

Here's a hint if you're ever mass producing a card with snowdrifts. I mass produced this card to use as a demonstrator trade.  It was important to me that the cards all looked the same so I made a template for cutting the snowdrift.

Special papers helped make the snowdrift glisten. I used Stampin'UP!'s Shimmery White paper for the snow.  You can see the sparkles in this close-up photo. The shimmery paper adds a nice touch.

Demonstrator gatherings are great! I mentioned that I made this card for a trade. The advantage of being a demonstrator is the opportunity to share ideas, and boy did I come home with some great ones.  I'll be posting photos of some of those cards in the next few days.

Have you ever thought about being a demonstrator?
FYI: There's a special on the Starter Kit that starts Monday.

People buy the Starter Kit for many reasons. Stampin'UP! is different from other Home Party companies. With other Direct sales companies you buy their Starter Kit because you want to earn money selling the product.  With Stampin'UP! many people buy just because its a great deal with no obligation.

The Starter Kit isn't so much a "kit" as it is a "buy in" purchase. You choose up to $125 worth of product and pay only $99.  And shipping is free on the Starter Kit. For a $99 investment you get $125 of product and save $10 in shipping.  That's a deal that many people find too good to pass up.  Plus, you then have access to a 20% discount on all future purchases.

The sale that starts Monday lets you save even more. You still get the $125 worth of product, but for 1 week (Nov 24 - Dec 2) you'll pay only $74.50. Thats almost half price. Definitely something to take advantage of if you can.

Check back Monday for info on how to take advantage of this promotion
as well as information about an On-Line Extragavanza
. . . even more ways to save money as we enter the Holiday Shopping Season.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've been inspired.
