This week I've been playing with Stampin'UP!'s Best of Snow stamp set. All 4 stamps in this set are very useable Have you ever bought a set and found you only use some of the stamps in it? Well I'm really liking all 4 of these sweet little images.
This card uses both the snowman and the snowflakes from "Best of Snow". Oftentimes we add interest to a card by adding a vertical strip of ribbon or paper, or several layers of paper, maybe with some embossing. I thought these snowflakes made a nice subtle background without distracting from the main image.
TIP: use a stamped image to break up a solid background.
This is a very simple lay-out. There are so many way to arrange a single image and a single sentiment. Play around with things.
- change the size of the piece you're stamping on
- and change the orientation of the card.
You can see there are lots of possibilities.
Next playtime I'll change up the colors.
TIP: Speaking of color: when using Stampin'UP!'s markers - which are a water-soluble ink - be sure to use a permanent ink like Staz-On to stamp your image. Otherwise the image bleeds when you color the snowman.
