Rubber Boot with Crystal Effects

Did you attend any of the classes on Crystal Effects?  If so you saw this card on display. Its the rubber garden boot from the stamp set: Bootiful. This set has some really cute boots, perfect for anyone who loves shoes.

I have 2 things to share about this particular card.

I love the raised shine look! when you see this card in real life you'd be struck by how shiny the boot is. It really looks like a rubber boot!. And the way to get that look is by using Crystal Effects.  Crystal Effects is a liquid dimensional glaze - it goes on thick and keeps its shape as its drying.

You get a wonderful raised shiny surface.  The only drawback is that its not a quick process.  You do need to give it enough time to dry.

The second thing to point out is the sentiment.  Notice that the boot itself has a sentiment attached.  You can see by the series of photos below that I actually stamped the sentiment and just covered it with the "grass".

Also notice that the grass and the vertical green "framing" pieces were all from scrap paper.

And one final note, Crystal Effects is also a glue!  I used it to attach the flowers.
