Square Punch Banner

Card made with Stampin'UP! Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and Banner cut with the Square Punch
This is one of the cards we're doing at the August Stamp classes.  The card itself is very simple: stamp the and punch out the flower. Mount on the green banner.

Don't you love when there is a punch to match a stamp?  Stampin'UP! has many matching stamp sets and punches.  This stamp set is called Mixed Bunch and it matches the Blossom Punch.

The lesson on this card was how to make the banner. You could cut the shape with a scissors. But we  used the Square Punch to make the banner end. Center the corner of the Square Punch on the green strip. Looking through the bottom of the punch the green paper you'll be punching out will kind of look like a house. Don't you love it when you can make an unintended use for a tool you already own.

I try to be sure everyone learns something when they attend events with me.  Be sure to check my events calendar to find a class that fits your schedule.  And speaking of events, mark your calendars now for  the Annual Retired Rubber Rummage sale this weekend, Friday and Saturday.  Email me for directions.

Happy Stamping
