Here's a quick and easy way to decorate a gift bag. These flower decorations were made with Stampin'UP!'s Floral Framelits Dies. These started out as plain white gift bags and turned into something really festive.
I played around with several paper combinations and decided I liked alternating Designer Papers with the solid color Cardstock. These 2 bags were made using Stampin'UP!'s Summer Smooches Designer Paper. (see all the Designer Papers on pages 162-165 of the 2012/2013 catalog). I chose this paper because it was full of bright colors and seemed to match the tissue paper I had. And the designs had circles in them so they went with the shape of the Floral Framelits Die.
Are you like me? I have a drawer full of tissue paper that I save from all the gifts that are given in my house. So really, I had lots of choices. I think this is left over behavior from my grandmother who lived during the Depression and saved (and re-cycled) everything! Really I'm ready to handle any occasion! Can you imagine these bags decorated for a wedding gift or Christmas or Easter or some other occasion. Its also a great way to use up some left over designer paper.
