Build-a-Blossom Punch Bunny

What do you think of this cute little bunny? Would you believe he's made with pieces from the new Blossom Petal Punch! (#121808) I'd love to take credit for this design, but I didn't come up with it. The original designer is Jackie Topa. Earlier in April we had our demonstrator Quarterly meeting and I presented on the new punch. This is such a great punch . . . you can do so many cool flower designs and a ton of things that aren't flowers! Just take a look at the next 2 pictures:

These photos are just some of the samples I made for my presentation - the ghosts are my own original design, the rest are CASE'd from the cards of others.

Each shape in the punch could be either a petal or a leaf, depending on colors used. And this punch comes with a matching stamp set: Build-a-Blossom (clear mount #121994 or wood mount #121923). This punch and stamp set have so many possibilities.  You can order them through me by phone (608-873-9067) or email or order them through my Stampin'UP! website. Adding this punch and stamp set to your toy box will give you hours of fun and really stimulate your creativity.

Be sure to contact me with any stamping or scrapbooking questions.

Ice Cream Shoppe

I've seen this card posted on many different web sites. But when I got it as a trade from my upline, Suzanne Askey, then I saw how easy it was to make.  What a WOW card to send. Again, I'm catching up on posts so some of you will see this and smile because you made it with me, we did this at the April Stamp-a-Stack.

The awning is done using the Scallop Edge Punch and the Word Window Punch. You punch the edge of a pink piece of card stock. Then punch out 5 white pieces with the word window punch, trim off the curve from the top end and glue them to the pink piece.  Very simple! Then score that whole thing along each edge to make it stand out from the card. You use the Scallop Edge punch for the bottom pink piece too and score it to make the window "shelf" that the bakery items seem to be sitting on.  The stamp is from a Level 1 Hostess Set called Birthday Bakery. We colored the bakery items with markers and added a little White Satin Ribbon as a finishing touch.

Just as an FYI, when you place an order online if your order meets the minimums you do qualify for Hostess Benefits so you'd get this cute stamp set.  Now I'm checking my shelves to see what other stamp sets I have that would make cute shoppe displays.

Teeny Tiny Birthday Wishes

Here is a really simple card. The Chocloate Chip base makes a good frame for the green Pear Pizzazz piece. For a little added interest the Pear piece was embossed using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder in the Big Shot. The sentiment is from a set called Teeny Tiny Wishes  and is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. A little piece of 1 1/4" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon adds the finishing touch.

This is another of the cards done during March and April. I've been using the Teeny Tiny Wishes set a lot - it has 24 stamps for just about every occasion you can think of. If you're looking for one good versatile stamp set then this is it!

Lovely Monogram

My daughter's wedding is scheduled for the end of the summer so we've been playing with some designs. I created the card shown to the right as a possible thank-you note. I've wanted to make a monogram card for a long time and finally had a reason to try one. Then I ended up using it with several groups in March and April, so some of you may have actually made this card.

The So Saffron paper is dry embossed using the Vintage Wall Paper embossing folder and the Big Shot. We also sponged some saffron ink on the raised part of the image to help define it further. A piece of 1/4" black grosgrain ribbon helps hide the line between the 2 pieces of paper.

The initial is stamped from a set called Lovely Letters Alphabet. I love how elegant this set is. Nothing against all the plain alphabets or the ones that look like handwriting, but I really like the elegance of this set. We embossed the letter in black. helpful hint: when embossing in black I always use Black Craft Ink and Clear Embossing powder. That way I avoid all the stray black specks left behind by the black embossing powder. The letter was punched out with a 1 1/4" punch and layered on a saffron 1 3/8" circle which is then layered on a black scallop circle. Due to the thickness of the ribbon we raised the initial up using Stampin Dimensionals. This card is really beautiful. It went together so quickly that I'm considering making a whole set as a gift for a friend.
