Vellum Butterflies Again

This is just a quick post to show how you can re-do an old design to spice it up a little. Back in July I posted this card where I used the Butterfly Punch (119848) to make vellum wings for the butterfly.  With this version I added a pearl body to the butterfly. What do you think? I really like the addition, I think it just fills in something I didn't even realize was missing from the first card.  And I absolutely LOVE the fact that Stampin'UP!'s Half Pearls (119247) are self stick. The half-pearls in the old "Pretties" kit were nice, but you had to line them up perfectly on the glue dots. None of that messing around now. Just lift and place, super easy!

By the way, this IS Stampin'UP!'s Vellum Paper (101839). I stamped the image with White Craft Ink (111731) using the Belle Toile Background Stamp (111598). The craft ink is a pigment ink so it takes longer to dry than regular ink. Actually ANY ink on vellum takes forever to dry. Vellum paper is non-porous so the ink does not sink in. I just stamped the day before I wanted to use it so it dried over night.

Thanks for choosing me as a source of inspiration and education.  I hope you found something inspiring and useful. Please contact me if you have any questions about this card, about supplies needed to create this card or any questions about stamping.
