Serene Snowflakes on Confetti Paper

Another card made with Serene Snowflakes. And who can blame me for having snow on the brain after the "blizzard of the decade" just hit Wisconsin. If you didn't have to be driving in it, the snow was really very pretty as it was coming down.

Technique tip: I wanted this card to have the feel of falling snow. To get the variation in the colors on the snowflakes I first inked them in Bashful Blue and then very  lightly sponged on some Marina Mist just on parts of the snowflakes.

I used Confetti White Paper as the card base, because the color flecks in the paper reminded me of falling snow. The background color is Marina Mist and the scallop edge was made with the Scalloped Edge Border Punch. The background for the sentiment was punched with the Scallop Oval Punch. The sentiment is from a stamp set called On Your Birthday.

Technique Tip: Always stamp the image first and then punch. That way you can look through the hole in the bottom of the punch to be sure your image is perfectly centered in the opening.

The card was finished off by adding just a little bling, 3 Self Adhesive Rhinestones.  I love the self stick, its so much easier than trying to fit them onto the mini glue dots.

Thanks for looking. I hope you found something useful. Please contact me if you have any questions about stamping or if you need any of the supplies to make this card. Let me know if there is any way I can help you with your stamping needs.
