5th Avenue Gate Fold

This card is called a "gate fold" because it opens in the center, like a gate. Its actually very easy to make. The card base is 1/4 of a regular sheet of paper so it is 5 1/2" by 4 1/4". The gatefold part is cut 8" by 5 1/4" and then the two edges are folded to the middle. I scored the card at the 2" mark from each end to help with the folding. Its such a simple design and so-o-o easy to make. I hadn't ever tried this design before but I got a trade card from Joyce Hall (one of my uplines) at convention last week and was inspired to make this cad. I'm so glad I went to convention, this card is really fun.
The card itself is Very Vanilla on a Peach Parfait base and Peach Parfait Designer Series Paper. It uses the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp set. The sentiment is from the same set. I did add a little bling, some Dazzling Diamonds in the center of the flower. I love it when a card comes together so quickly. And with the unusual shape its sure to WOW the person who receives it.

Happy Stamping
