Timeless Tulips Sponged

You can create some really fun effects when you apply ink using a sponge.

Card with sponged background and sponged flower petals using Stampin'UP!'s Timeless Tulips Bundle

For this card, made with the Timeless Tulips stamp set,
I've used the sponge to create depth for the background
and to provide some color variation on the flower petals.

To get  the color variation I inked the lighter color from the ink pad
and then sponged the darker color on top before applying stamp to paper.

Here's another fun one also done by sponging color onto the stamp itself.
sometimes I feel like my messy stamp room is a "Little Shop of Horrors"!

Embossed Peaceful Wreath Christmas Card

Are you looking for Christmas Card ideas? I love the simple elegance of this gold embossed wreath. The Peaceful Wreath stamp set was designed to go with the Wreath Framelits, (see yesterday's post) but when you're mass producing its nice to eliminate steps.

The sparkle and gold make this look much harder to make than it really is.
  • stamp the image in Versamark,
  • sprinkle with Gold Embossing powder and heat set,
  • and color the leaves.
  • Assemble the layers and add the gold cord bow

Here are the supplies I used on this card

Jazz it a bit with some Silver Sparkle  glitter glue on the berries

By the way, how are you at tying bows?
Check out this video I made showing how to use a Meat Fork to make a bow.
