Merry Moose Pair Says Hello

When I invest my money in  a new stamp set there are several things that make me especially pleased with my purchase.  One is when there is a coordinating die or punch to help make my life easier and the other is when I find a way to stretch my use of the set.  That's why I'm really glad I invested in Stampin'UP!'s Merry Moose stamp set and matching Moose Punch

Card made with Stampin'UP!'s Merry Moose Stamp Set and Moose Punch and Copper Foil Paper
This is perfect for anyone who loves the woods and the outdoors.
Its perfect for masculine cards, but its versatile enough to use for anyone.

There are several ways to stretch the use of the Merry Moose Stamp Set and Punch.
  1. Instead of using designer paper you can use one of the stamps to create your own background
  2. When you punch an image you can be flexible with the direction it faces.
don't you LOVE that copper paper?
Here's similar card with just one moose.

Card made with Stampin'UP!'s Merry Moose Stamp Set and Moose Punch and Copper Foil PaperI really do love the copper paper
and it makes a great frame for the moose focal point.

Here's a trick

instead of using a large piece of the copper sheet as a frame, I simply backed the moose focal point with 4 small strips of the copper paper.  It was a great way to use up small scraps and gives an really interesting look to the frame.

As long as we're talking tricks, did you notice the rhinestones on the two cards?  The first card with the pair of moose I just used the plain rhinestone. For the second card with the single moose I colored the rhinestone to match the copper paper.  You can color the plastic rhinestones with an alcohol marker like Stampin Blends.  It's an easy way to get a professional coordinated look to your projects.

I've really had fun with the moose set and ended up making
over 2 dozen moose cards which you can see in this short video

Merry Moose with a Rustic Look

This Merry Moose Christmas card has a back home country charm to it.

Rustic country Christmas Card using Stampin'UP!'s Merry Moose stamp set

Stampin'UP!'s Merry Moose stamp setThe warm rustic feeling comes from the color combination and all the texture and dimension. The deep green of Mossy Meadow combined with the browns and the Cajun Craze background makes me think of winter vacations up north.

For an added Up North feel I stamped evergreen trees as the background. The evergreen tree image is actually part of the same stamp set with the moose.

There's lots going on with this card that all contributes to the rustic feel. The glittered organdy ribbon adds sparkle and rich texture.  The torn edges on the moose give a casual country feel. The corrugated Soft Suede strip gives added dimension

For the outdoorsy person this is just a feel good card.  The Merry Moose stamp set has a matching punch if you had other projects in mind.  I actually made 14 very different cards using this stamp set and punch. You can see them all here on this video.

This set is so versatile and I love that there's an option for a coordinating punch. Do you like to camp? Are you an outdoors person? Are you an animal lover? Do you have a connection to the woods?  This natural looking animal stamp and with its matching punch were "must have" additions to my collection. Shopping links are below if you want to add them to your own collection.

Merry Moose Birthday

Today's card features the moose and racoon stamps from Merry Moose stamp set, here to help you celebrate a special day.

Birthday Card made with the moose and racoon stamps from StampinUP's Merry Moose stamp set in the fall 2019 Holiday Catalog

Its very conspiratorial how the moose and racoon seem to be talking among themselves to plot something for your special day.  The sentiment comes from a different set because Merry Moose was intended as a Christmas set, but I wanted to use the images for a birthday card.

I love that this set has 2 different size trees. By stamping off (full strength stamp and then stamp again without re-inking) you get the look of a whole forest!

This set turned out to be really versatile, I made over 2 dozen different cards  with it, most of which will appear on my Facebook page and group over the course of the next week or so.  If you like the look of the set, then check my Facebook page on Saturday. I'll have a video posted showing all 14 cards and discussing some of the tips and tricks for making them.

The full product list for this card is at the end of the post. Leave a comment, I'm happy to answer any questions.  Thanks for stopping by and have an INKcredible day.
