Global Share Fair Case Hop

Today's card is a fun fold - a Horizontal Diagonal Gatefold.

The card features lots of new product from the fall catalog

  • Red Velvet paper for the Poinsettia petals
  • The Poinsettia Petals Stamp and Die bundle can you see the embossed veining in the poinsettia petals?
  • Poinsettia Place Designer Paper
  • Brushed Metallic Foil paper for the berry sprigs and flower center
  • Gold Trimmed Poppy Parade ribbon

I have step-by-step instructions available in a PDF but if you want to try this then note these two critical facts.

FIRST:

  • You'll need a full sheet of cardstock cut vertically
    (imperial measurements are 4 1/4" x 11")
  • Score at the half-way point
(imperial measurements scored at 5 1/2")
  • Then cut from 1 corner to the opposite score line.

These 2 pieces will layer to make the card base

SECOND: if you want to use both sides of the designer paper then you'll need to

  • cut  2 sheets at 5 1/4 x 4
  • cut both diagonally
  • use the top half of one, flip the bottom half of the other to use the back side

The Poinsettia Petals die set is so fun - I love the embossed veining in the leaves and the petals. It shows up especially nicely in the red velvet paper full product list at the end of the post

Here's the card open

We get our ideas from many places. The inspiration for this card came from a card made by Tracy Held. Tracy and I are part of a demonstrator group where we do live presentations for our customers every other month and we offer our customers something special when they make a purchase. Our group is pretty big - there are 17 of us spread out over the globe. These events are like a global Stampin'Up! Party.

For today's hop we've all decided to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) a card from our May event where we offered a tutorial bundle of all 17 projects in exchange for a qualifying order.

The photo to the right shows the project designs used in the May tutorial.

If you missed getting the bundle in May you are in luck. With a qualifying order ($40 or more) this month I will email you the May tutorial bundle. Place your order here using this Host Code USUWSZ7U

Our next event is October 17. This full day of demonstrations is staged in private Facebook Group offered to our customers.
  • If you're a customer and not yet in the group then private message me for your invitation.
  • If you're not a customer yet there's still time to place an order before October 17th.

I hope this gave you some ideas

What a gorgeous card. That poinsettia is incredible in the velvet paper. Might have to add a few things to my wish list!

Beautiful card and the velvet paper really adds a feel of luxury. Great idea to turn the card on to it's side! Thank you for sharing!
