This Merry Moose Christmas card has a back home country charm to it.
The warm rustic feeling comes from the color combination and all the texture and dimension. The deep green of Mossy Meadow combined with the browns and the Cajun Craze background makes me think of winter vacations up north.For an added Up North feel I stamped evergreen trees as the background. The evergreen tree image is actually part of the same stamp set with the moose.
There's lots going on with this card that all contributes to the rustic feel. The glittered organdy ribbon adds sparkle and rich texture. The torn edges on the moose give a casual country feel. The corrugated Soft Suede strip gives added dimension
For the outdoorsy person this is just a feel good card. The Merry Moose stamp set has a matching punch if you had other projects in mind. I actually made 14 very different cards using this stamp set and punch. You can see them all here on this video.
This set is so versatile and I love that there's an option for a coordinating punch. Do you like to camp? Are you an outdoors person? Are you an animal lover? Do you have a connection to the woods?
