Merry Moose Sponged Scene and Tricky Tree Grass

Last week when I posted the video of 14 different cards made with the Merry Moose stamp set I promised to go back and make separate videos explaining some of the techniques used on several of the cards. Today's blog post will explain a few tricks involved with the sponged sunset scene on this card.

Sponged Sunset Scene made with images from the Merry Moose stamp set by Stampin'UP

There are several tips and tricks about the sponging that are worth mentioning. But you're especially going to want to know how to stamp the grass . . . because if you look closely at the stamp set you'll notice there is not a grass stamp.

This 6 minute video shows how to create the grass by turning the tree sideways and masking.  There are several other tips and tricks you may also find interesting.

If you missed them here are the other finished videos in the series. There's one more video yet to come showing reflection stamping with the moose.

As you may be able to tell from my  the shear volume of cards I've made with the Merry Moose set stamps, it definitely one of my favorites. You can do such a variety of projects, this set is not just for Christmas.  Merry Moose  is for anyone who loves the outdoors or knows someone who loves the outdoors.

The Merry Moose set as well as all the supplies used on  all the cards are available in my on-line store. Product links are at the end of the post.

I'm happy to answer questions about this or any other project. Leave a comment below.
Thanks for stopping by - and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to get notifications when I post future videos including the upcoming Reflection stamping with the moose.
