The two large diecut hearts on this card give this wedding card a clean simple look.
Despite the layers and glitz, it really is simple - there's only 6 parts to glue onto the card.
The diecut hearts are part of the Be Mine Thinlets set. I worry a bit when you have a large piece like that darker heart that it looks too plain. The rhinestones help add some sparkle and interest. But the thing I like best is the stitching around the heart. That's what makes this die set so special.
What do you think of the banner? Its the perfect sentiment for a wedding. I love how it looks like a flag blowing in the wind or a cloth banner draped over the wedding table.
There are several different banner shapes to choose from in the die set. Think of what you could do with your sentiment sets using this set of 5 banner dies. The variety of shapes and sizes makes this a really versatile die set.
Stampin'UP! also offers a coordinating sentiment set. See how some of the words are actually curved to fit in the banners. This is so cool!
To give my sentiment some visual "pop" on this wedding card, I heat embossed in white on black cardstock.
This card really is very easy once you have the banner prepared. Of course you need the supplies. Most of these are very basic supplies. I consider a heat embossing tool and white embossing powder to be staples in my craft room. Same with a good supply of glimmer papers, rhinestones and nested heart dies. Weddings are not the only occasions where you'd want hearts.
The banners on this card are unique, but they're sized to work with lots of different sentiments and you might consider adding this banner dies set to your stock of staples items. Product list with order number is at the end of the post.
