Meant to Be Wedding Card

Here is an elegant yet simple wedding card with a heartfelt sentiment for the happy couple:  "Meant to Be"

Simplicity is one descriptor for this card.  It's simple visually so the imagery does not distract from the sentiment it carries.  And its simple to make: 3 hearts layered up , a stamped sentiment and some ribbon.

Elegant is another descriptor. Several things contribute to the elegant look; one is the high contrast between the colors.  Another is the sparkle and shine from the white glimmer paper heart and the gold embossing on the small black heart.  And of course . . . rhinestones!  A full product list is at the end of the post.

Achieving this look is easy as long as you have the right tools.  You can certainly cut the hearts free-hand, but you get a much more professional look when you use dies. Which means you need a die-cutting machine.  These hearts from from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits die set which coordinates with the Meant to Be stamp set. 

If you don't already have a set of nesting heart dies I'd encourage you to consider this die set. There's a nice variety of shapes as well as sizes.

On the card, can you see that on the pink heart the edge has a stitched look?  That stitched edging was done by the die.

And while the catalog description says there are "19" dies in this set, the reality is that you get an additional 21 little hearts when you stamp that heart lattice piece.

That's a nice bonus if you are making a bunch of cards that all need little hearts.
