Beautiful Colored Acetate Over Glimmer Paper

I am excited to participate in my first ever blog hop.
The theme of the hop is holiday gifts . . . and since Thanksgiving is tomorrow
I chose to focus on the gratitude aspect of gift giving.

This thank-you card uses a fun technique:  Colored Acetate Over Glimmer Paper.

The technique is very simple:
 * you stamp on an acetate sheet,
 * color it with markers
 * and then layer it over glimmer paper.
The end result is so pretty and sparkly!

A caution about working with acetate sheets:  You have to use permanent inks when working on acetate. That means StazOn ink and alcohol markers.

Stampin'UP! has a line of alcohol markers called Stampin Blends.
I love that there is such a wide variety of colors to choose from, its a real bonus when you want to color coordinate projects using Stampin'UP! papers

Its not hard to work with acetate but I do have some tips and tricks to share
This video points out 7 things to help you have success with this technique
Watch the video now or save it for later - because you know you're going to want to try this.

Did you see how super easy this is?
All the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of this post.

I'm so glad to be back to my stamping business (gone 2 years for a temporary job). Please visit back here again in the future for more stamping ideas. And today, be sure to click through all 10 blogs in this hop to get more great holiday crafting ideas.
