This was my favorite card from class last month - I love the sharp contrast of colors and how that calla lily just pops off the paper. You get the look by stamping the lily image on your card face (the blue sheet) and then stamping again on white and cutting it out of the white and gluing to the blue.
- First we stamped the Calla Lilies, to get the general placement on the paper
- Then we overstamped with the leaves - wow, what a mess!
- Then we stamped the flowers again on white paper, cut them out and glued them to the blue piece
And see here what a difference it makes when you use a marker to color the leaves.
The finishing touches: The Baker's Twine and Pearls are a couple of nice finishing touches. And there's one more thing that doesn't show up well in the previous photos but you can see it a little better below. I used Shimmery White Paper for the flowers. It gives a subtle but very effective sparkle to the Callas.
Here a list of product used on this card:
Thanks for Stopping by: Take a minute and browse previous posts. If you see anything you like I'm happy to
help you get the product or just to consult and explain further how the
project was made . . . its all about having fun with our
hobby.
