Do you own a heart punch? This time of year most people might be thinking about how to use it for Valentines Day projects. But if you're like me, you also like to get as much use out of your tools as possible. So, here are 5 non-valentine ways to use your heart punch.
Bride and Groom Wedding Card
Butterfly Card
Mickey Mouse
(his mittens are upside down hearts with one side trimmed down to make the thumb)
Little Girl Mouse
her dress is two upside down hearts overlapped
and her feet and hands are smaller hearts
Bird Card - each bird is half a heart
and the wings are half of a smaller heart
The current Stampin'UP! catalog has a variety of heart punches to choose from. If you're looking to get a basic heart punch my recommendation would be the Sweetheart Punch. Side to side its 1 3/4" across. I'd also recommend the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The 3 small punches in that pack (heart, star and flower) are can be used on a wide variety of projects, and can really dress up a project. The Sweetheart Punch and Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack should would be excellent basic supplies in every crafter's tool box. In fact that little flower punch in that pack is one of my favorites.
These 5 projects are just the short list of non-valentine ways to use a heart punch. I'm a big fan of punch art - and a heart punch is one of the basic shapes everyone should have if you like playing with shapes.
Thanks for Stopping by: Take a minute and browse previous posts. If you see anything you like I'm happy to
