Punch Art Bat Made With a Butterfly Punch

Some times we buy a stamp set because of how versatile it is and we can visualize ourselves using it for lots of different projects.  And sometimes we buy just because we love the art. I just loved the art on this one. The stamp is called If the Broom Fits (BTW: stamps are on sale this week - 15% off)

I also want to share a little trick for making the bats.  They're made with the Butterfly punch.  This trick works with either of Stampin'UP!'s butterfly punches, the Bitty Butterfly or the Elegant Butterfly. I expect it would probably work with any butterfly punch. Here's how it works
  • punch a partial image along the edge of your paper - far enough to get the indentation for the head.  This indentation will be the feet of your bat
  • move the punch up into the paper past the hole you just punched, just to the point where the base of the body meets the indentation from the last head you punched.
Voila! Perfect bat every time.
Thanks for Stopping by: Take a minute and browse previous posts. If you see anything you like I'm happy to help you get the product or just to consult and explain further how the project was made . . . its all about having fun with our hobby.
