Beauty of the Season with Crystal Effects

For those of us here in Wisconsin this is a very familiar scene. We have lots of cardinals on our winter bird feeders. I got this card from Brenda Moen who is part of my team.

Brenda did a great job coloring this card.  I especially like the soft blue sponged around the image to give the impression of sky.

And check out the body of the cardinal! Wow. Brenda used Crystal Effects on the body to give it this special appearance.

The Crystal Effects comes as a thick liquid in a bottle.  The narrow pointed nozzle lets you  squeeze it out onto the project in a pretty well controlled way. Brenda colored the bird red with markers and then squeezed the Crystal Effects over the body of the bird. When it dries it adds shine and dimension to the project.

This cardinal is from a stamp set called Beauty of the Season

The set also has some lovely dainty branches and a nice script font for the sentiments.
