So Very Grateful Half-cut Frame

Fussy Cut Oval Flower Frame on a card made with Stampin'UP!'s So Very Grateful Stamp setThis is a new technique for me: half die cut and half fussy cut. It was a bit tricky running the Oval Framelit die only partially through the Big Shot Machine. But I really like how it turned out.

This stamp set is from the new Occasions Catalog - it goes live January 3rd! The set is called: So Very Grateful. I'm kind of on a roll with this set, its been featured in the last 3 blog posts (you'll see if you scroll down).

Fussy Cut Oval Flower Frame on a card made with Stampin'UP!'s So Very Grateful Stamp setBoy I can tell you I was "so very grateful" to have my Magnetic Platform for making this project.  The magnet was really helpful in keeping the oval framelit positioned correctly around the flower while it goes through the machine.

Step 1: Stamp and heat emboss the flower
Step 2: Die cut the partial oval
Step 3: Fussy cut around the flowers
Step 4: Color the flowers
Step 5: Position the flower piece and
           stamp the Sentiment
Step 6: Use dimensionals to "pop-up"
          the flower layer.

I'm working on a video to show how to make the frame so if you follow this blog be watching for that.

Happy New Year everyone!
I am So Very Grateful for all of you and the role you have in my Stamping Business.
I hope you're having a relaxing day with a little time for Stamping.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've been inspired
