This Flower Trim has me "Feeling Sentimental"

Card made with Stampin'UP!'s Sale-a-bration Stamp set: Feeling Sentimental
Feeling Sentimental when you look at this card? I really like how this turned out. The "sentimental" feel comes not only from the imagery but also from the colors and from the embellishments.

The colors contribute to the "vintage" feel.  The base is Vanilla card stock (instead of white) and the card face is Crumb Cake.  Stampin'UP!'s Crumb Cake cards stock is the old Kraft paper with a new name.  Perfect for that sentimental vintage look.

The Embellishments: The Crochet Trim and the Flower Trim add to the vintage look.  Both are vanilla in color which softens the look and adds to the sentimental appeal of the project.

Card made with Stampin'UP!'s Flower Trim

The flower trim is a new item in the Spring Mini Catalog. These soft flowers are perfect for mailing.  Have you ever tried mailing a card with "hard" bling, only to find you get charged extra for the "bump" in the card?  That won't happen with these flowers.  No extra postage needed with these flowers!  They are soft and squish easily so no messing with the postal machines.

For $6.95 you get 2 yards with TONS of flowers.  Just cut them apart to use them.  And here's something fun to try.

You can color the Flower Trim!

Card made with Stampin'UP!'s Sale-a-bration Stamp set: Feeling SentimentalJust use a sponge. For this last card I used a sponge in Chocolate Chip ink to color the flowers.  The ink caught mostly at the edges of the flower so the vanilla still shows through at the base.  It gives such a pretty look.

And speaking of how things "look", what do you think of this old-fashioned bicycle?  Cool huh?  Very vintage - does it get you "Feeling Sentimental"?  Actually "Feeling Sentimental" is the name of this stamp set.  Its one of your FREE choices when you make a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration.
