Book Mark Card using the Two Tags Die

Book Mark Card made with Stampin'UP! product
Here is a book mark card that we made in the August Big Shot Class.  This is such a fun card to make and certainly raises a "wow" factor when you give it to someone else. Who do you want to impress?

The bookmark itself is the red piece. There is a fold at the top so that it folds over the top of the card.  A magnet holds the two sides together - to keep it from falling off the card and to hold it to the page in the book when you use the bookmark.

We cut the bookmark using the Two Tags Die.  You fold a piece of paper and lay it on the die with the fold line below (or "inside of") the cutting edge of the die.  That way the fold doesn't get cut off.
How to Cut the Book Mark with the Two Tags Die
Stampin'UP! stamp set: Jolly Jingle BitsOne more Helpful Hint about making this type of bookmark - to ensure that the 2 magnet pieces are lined up properly. I removed the protective backing and placed one piece of magnet on one side of the folded book mark.  Then stuck the second piece of magnet to the first and removed the protective backing on it.  Then I folded the bookmark closed over the 2 magnet pieces.

We decorated the bookmark with images from a set called Jolly Jingle Bits.  These images were just the right size to fit into the inner circle.  Then I couldn't decide which image to use so we made 3 cards! We did the holly, a peppermint candy and a snowman.
