Looking for a quick way to add depth to your cards? Here's an easy trick.
The 3D effect on these two butterflies is created by layering 4 punched images. Stamp and punch out 3 butterflies, the 4th one can be left blank.
Fold 2 of the stamped butterflies in half, with the stamped image on the inside of the fold.
Adhere one folded butterfly to each half of the blank butterfly.
Adhere the fourth butterfly to the top of the two halves.
This technique works well with punched images because the shapes need to be identical. You can do something similar with the Ornament Punch and the Heart Punch. This is so quick and easy and it really adds a WOW! element to your projects.
The sample card above was made using the Butterfly Punch, the Butterfly Prints Stamp Set and used the Sincere Salutations Stamp set for the sentiment.
