Stinkn' Cute Foxy Punch

Oh my goodness - the possibilities are endless!  Stampin'UP!'s Foxy Friends stamp set and coordinating Fox Builder punch are perfect for hours of creative play.  These images can do so much more than just a fox.

This cute little skunk card was made by my friend Joyce Hall.  Joyce designed this as one of the Make & Take cards for our last Madison Area Stamping Stars meeting.  Pardon the pun, but he's just "stinkin cute".

Do you stamp with kids?  Foxy Friends and Punch would be perfect for lessons about animals and for critical thinking in terms of which part goes where.  OK, sorry, that was the teacher in me showing through.  Scratch the whole teaching thing. This stamp and punch set would be perfect just for having fun - because our hobby is fun and we want to pass the love of paper crafting on to the next generation. These are the products Joyce used on her card: Note: the tree stamp is included in the Foxy Friends set. Its an easy shape to cut with a scissors, but to make life easy there is a coordinating set of framelits that you could use with your Big Shot or other die-cutting machine.  For the background Joyce used paper that kind of looks like snow, but any background would look cute with this little skunk.

Kids Card - Balloon Animal Card

Are you looking for ideas for children's cards?  Either to send to kids or something for fun to engage kids in paper crafting?  This is such a great hobby for children - it gets them thinking creatively, it develops their artistic confidence and self-esteem and it even helps with math and spatial thinking. So today I have a kids card to share.

This card was made by my friend Brenda Moen - Brenda used the shapes from a stamp set called Balloon Builder set to make this really cute doggie.

Balloon Builders is a really versatile set. Just look at all the shapes you get with this set- WOW. Imagine all the different animals you could make with these shapes. 3 year old BD Card: Giraffe with an Expanding Neck

I made this card for my granddaughter's 3rd Birthday.  When you want to impress a 3 year old it helps that the card is interactive.

This card is actually easier to make that it looks. You cut the paper long-ways [4.25 x 11] and fold at the half-way mark [at 5.5"] and then fold the front back up half-way [at 2.75"].  Then cut white pieces to fit each of the 3 panels and make your giraffe. 

The Giraffe is mostly made of circles and ovals. Super easy to assemble. I used the Word Window punch for his legs and the ears are the wings of the bird from the Bird Builder Punch. 

  

Do you like the Balloons?  Again, for a 3-year old you need the details. The balloons are circles and for the tab of the balloons I used the feet of the Owl on the Owl Builder Punch. Its kind of fun putting different pieces together like this. And whats more important is that my granddaughter liked it. This was a fun card for her and she spent a lot of time folding and unfolding the giraffe.
