Jazz UpYour Projects With Texture Embossing

Talk about coordination . . . look at this week's Weekly Deals
Texture embossing folders and the Texture Boutique Machine
of course the folders all work in your Big Shot machine too

So what does texture embossing do for a project?
 Check it out . . .

Stampin'UP! sells 2 machines for texture embossing:

Which one is right for you?

The quick explanation is
. . . that the Big Shot does BOTH embossing and die cutting
. . . while the Texture Boutique only embosses.

Watch this 2.5 minute video to see it in action

My Opinion?
The Texture Boutique is a great entry level machine for new crafters who want to add embossing to projects. Its also perfect for travel when you want to emboss away from home . . . as a 2nd machine its ideal!

And the Good News is
If you took full advantage of this weeks Weekly Deals and got the Texture Boutique plus the folders, you'd get to choose a FREE Sale-a-bration item too.  Yay! we all love a deal.

Hello You Thinlet Dies and Bouquet Bigz L Die

Sometimes I wonder how I ever lived before I had my Big Shot.
I just love the style and precision of die cut images.

Card made with Stampin'UP!'s Bouquet BigzL Die and Hello You Thinlet Dies

This card features 2 new products from the Spring 2015 Occasions Catalog:
Stampin'UP!'s spring 2015 Occasions Catalog
Bouquet BigzL Die, new in Stampin'UP!'s spring 2015 Occasions Catalog

Hello You Thinlet Dies, new in Stampin'UP!'s spring 2015 Occasions Catalog

The Bouquet BigzL Die was designed for making the pieces for 3D flowers, but
it does a beautiful job on flat projects like this too.

Here's a quick video (5:52 min)
if you want to see how you can use the Bouquet Die
to make flowers similar to the ones on the cover of the catalog.

Pretty slick, right? It sure makes 3D crafting easy.
What a fun way to make a really elegant paper  bouquet.

And speaking of elegant: the word thinlets, cut from Silver foil paper
really adds a level of sophistication to a project.

This project shows why I love paper crafting:
whether you just want to say "hello you" . . . or if you want to give someone flowers
paper lets you do it all.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've been inspired to play

Valentine Gift Bag with 2 Big Hearts and a Punched Bow

Today's post is a decorated gift bag.  I made 10 of these for our demonstrator meeting last weekend, one for each person who was coordinating one of the Make & Takes.

Gift Bag decorated with die cut hearts and a punched bow

These bags are quick and easy to make:  The big hearts are made using the Hearts Framelits, the bow was punched with the Bow Builder Punch, the little heart on the tag is from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack, the tag itself is the Note Tag punch backed by a piece of black paper that has the corners rounded. I can't even imagine trying to make all these cutting the parts by hand. I love my dies and punches.

Bow made with Stampin'UP!'s Bow Builder Punch
This is a versatile color combination:  Basic Black and Crisp Cantaloupe.  Our demo meeting was focused on Valentines but I wanted colors that would be good for a Bridal shower or Baby shower too.

For me, one of the biggest "whoo! hoo!" things to cheer about for Stampin'UP! is color coordination - ink - paper - ribbon and trim - even Designer paper.

The DSP on this project is from a little pad called Stacked with Love, which is full of red & black and Crisp Cantaloupe designs. I think this candy strip pattern so sweet.

Tag made with Stampin'UP!'s Note Tag Punch and the stamped image from Chalk Talk
Top it off with a bit of Crisp Cantaloupe Bakers Twine and a rhinestone and Voila!

The Thank-you sentiment is from a set called: Chalk Talk, which is available in either clear mount or wood mount. It was the perfect set of words to show my gratitude to the meeting helpers.

The stamped image had a heart, but it seemed like a lot of black at the bottom of the bag, so I added the little punched heart and the rhinestone to add some color and sparkle.

I started with a plain white bag. These bags are available at lots of stores and they are really easy to decorate, whether for Valentines, Birthday, wedding, or a shower.  Or as a Thank-you like I did here.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've been inspired to play

More Mini Treat Bags

These Mini Treat Bags make a really nice table favor or a quick "thinking of you" gift for someone.
And they're so easy to make with Stampin'UP!'s new Mini-Treat Bag Thinlet.

Norma Artman designed this Mini Treat Bag as one of the Make & Take projects
for our demonstrator meeting last weekend.

designed by Norma Artman

I love the classy look of red and black.
Those red tulips are so pretty - its a single stamp called Love is Kindness.

Did you notice the extra detail Norma added to her project?
The newspaper wrapped around the flowers is part of the stamp image,
Norma stamped it a 2nd time on a piece of scrap paper and "fussy cut" the newspaper part
so she could wrap the Baker's Twine around the flower stems.
This is a wonderful detail to jazz up a project.

The Mini Treat Bag is just the right size for silverware at a party, or a little candy treat (yum!)

The Mini Treat Bag thinlet comes with lots of embellishments,
like the bow on Norma's project.

You can see more of the embellishments below on Sue Adam's project.
I think its so fun to have the die cut the words for you.
And stars and hearts certainly come in handy.

Do you have any occasions where a little Mini Treat Bag like this would be useful?
wedding? - family reunion? - baby shower or bridal shower?
Valentine treat for a co-worker?
The Mini Treat Bag thinlet works with the Big Shot - or any die cut machine.

Mini Treat Bag for Valentine's Day

I got this Mini Treat Bag Valentine from my friend Sue Adams.

If you're wondering about directions for making these little bags, its super easy.
This little valentine treat holder was made with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit.

I love the engineers who think up this stuff -
this is so great because it not only cuts the shape for you,
it also scores the paper where you need to fold it.
Super easy peasy - cut, glue, embellish, done Voila!

This whole project was made with just the one die.

Its a great value too because you get so much more than just the thinlit for the mini treat bags.  Just look what else comes with it.  Sue used the heart border and the large heart on her bag, and then she used the hearts she cut out of the border to decorate the bags.

Here's another sample - this one I got from my friend Lori Verdon.
